Ufone, a Pakistani telecom operator and digital services provider, has been named the Global Rising Star in all five categories measured by OpenSignal’s latest Global Network Experience Report.
The categories include Games Experience, Voice App Experience, Download Speed Experience, Upload Speed Experience, and Time on 4G/5G. Ufone was the only operator to be in the top 30 globally in all categories, according to the report.
Ufone had the largest percentage improvement in Upload Speed Experience between the second half of 2021 and 2022, with a spectacular rise of 77.2%, the report added.
Meanwhile, six global operators, including Banglalink, WOM, Orange, Celcom, Yes, and Globe, emerged as Global Rising Stars in four categories. Zong achieved recognition as a Global Rising Star in three categories, and Jazz was a Global Rising Star in two categories.
The report reveals that all of the top five operators with the highest percentage of average upload speeds between H2 2021 and H2 2022 are based in South Asia.
