While much of the world debates policies, Pakistan sends aid to Gaza once again, this time dispatching its 17th humanitarian consignment to the war-stricken territory. Loaded with 100 tons of essentials, including powdered milk, medical supplies, food items, and ready-to-eat meals, the latest shipment underscores Islamabad’s increasing urgency in responding to the worsening crisis in Gaza.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar personally oversaw the dispatch, symbolising high-level state involvement in what Pakistan sees as a moral and diplomatic obligation. Officials confirmed that Pakistan sends aid to Gaza not just in words, but through consistent, tangible support, even as international humanitarian access remains a challenge.
The shipment brings the total relief sent by Pakistan since October 2023 to an impressive 1,615 tons. This ongoing commitment reflects the country’s resolve to stand by Palestinians, particularly vulnerable groups such as women and children, caught in the crossfire of a relentless conflict.
Humanitarian Action with Political Resolve
The aid is not merely logistical, it is deeply political. Pakistan’s foreign policy narrative remains firmly rooted in solidarity with Palestine. While sending critical aid to Gaza, Senator Dar also reiterated Islamabad’s long-standing support for a two-state solution based on pre-1967 borders, as outlined in UN resolutions and international law.
He called for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire, and further demanded that the international community ensure the protection of civilians and uninterrupted humanitarian access. The minister also emphasized the need to revive international support for UNRWA, the United Nations agency serving Palestinian refugees, whose operations have become increasingly strained.
In addition, Pakistan has remained active on global platforms such as the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the International Court of Justice (ICJ), consistently pushing for accountability in response to Israeli military operations in Gaza.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) played a pivotal role in the coordination and dispatch of this consignment, liaising with international partners to ensure effective delivery.
