DG ISPR Identifies Anti-State Rhetoric as Security Concern
Pakistan’s military spokesperson Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has issued a stern warning about a jailed political leader whose narrative has escalated into a national security threat. Addressing a press conference at Rawalpindi’s General Headquarters, the Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that despite incarceration, the unnamed individual continues spreading anti-state and anti-military propaganda.
Military Denounces Divisive Politics
While maintaining the military’s policy of not naming political figures, DG ISPR emphasized that the leader’s inflammatory rhetoric jeopardizes national unity and stability. He categorically stated that the individual’s political influence has ended, describing him as “a prisoner of his own ego and impulses.” The spokesperson reinforced the Pakistan Army’s stance of remaining apolitical, stressing zero tolerance for attempts to create divisions between state institutions and citizens.
New Defense Structure to Enhance Military Coordination
The briefing also announced operational developments, particularly the establishment of the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) headquarters. This new command structure aims to optimize Pakistan’s defense capabilities through integrated military operations across multiple domains:
- Land warfare
- Naval operations
- Aerial defense
- Space and cyber security
The CDF framework represents a strategic shift toward joint warfare preparedness, ensuring synchronized responses to modern security challenges.
Military’s Continued Focus on National Stability
Lt Gen Chaudhry reiterated the armed forces’ commitment to safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty and internal security. The remarks underscore the military leadership’s view that stability supersedes political agendas, with clear warnings against elements perceived as threatening national cohesion. The establishment of the CDF headquarters simultaneously demonstrates institutional efforts to modernize defense mechanisms against evolving threats.
