The Global Prompt Engineering Championship will take place in May 2024, according to orders from Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF).

With a Dh1 million grand prize, the competition is the biggest challenge of its type to use generative AI. The Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence and DFF will collaborate to host the competition.

The goal of the competition is to use generative AI technologies such as ChatGPT, Midjourney, and other cutting-edge applications to increase the effectiveness and beneficial impact of content production across multiple areas. It seeks to transform the world of cutting-edge technology by encouraging the growth of quick engineering talents.

Talented people from all over the world, including researchers, content producers, AI professionals, startups, and entrepreneurs working on digital solutions and generative AI, are also expected to be drawn to this global challenge. They will be able to expand on their concepts and inventions and contribute to a variety of industries, including programming, healthcare, law, the arts, music, and content creation.

There will be two days of the challenge. The first day’s main objective is to choose the top 30 quick engineering programmers who will go on to the second day’s final round. After that, programmers will be split up into five groups and compete in three different categories: coding, literature, and art. A specialized committee will assess completed projects according to three criteria: accuracy, speed, and quality. Each of the three categories winners will take home a total of Dh1 million in prize money.
