Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has said he completely accepts the decision of PTI founder Imran Khan, reaffirming his loyalty to the party and clarifying that he will not hold any political or government office in the future.

In an interview with ARY News, Gandapur stated that all PTI parliamentary members have expressed full confidence in Imran Khan’s leadership, despite efforts by political opponents to create division within the party. He maintained that the opposition’s attempts to stir political instability will fail, as PTI remains united under its founder’s guidance.

“The founder of PTI directed me to resign, and I have done so in full compliance with his orders,” Gandapur said. “Anyone trying to prolong the matter is only adding to unnecessary confusion.”

The former chief minister emphasized that he will not accept any ministerial or party position even if offered again by Imran Khan. “I have already made it clear that I will continue serving as a dedicated party worker. My loyalty and commitment to the cause remain unchanged,” he added.

Gandapur also said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continues to stand firm as PTI’s stronghold, noting that party workers in the province have shown resilience and unity despite political challenges since 2022.

“The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have always supported PTI and Imran Khan,” he said. “The opposition cannot undermine this bond through political maneuvering.”

He further warned that Pakistan is facing severe economic and security challenges, urging politicians to act responsibly instead of engaging in what he called “political games” that could worsen national instability.

The remarks came a day after Imran Khan removed Ali Amin Gandapur from the post of Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. PTI’s legal representative Salman Akram Raja confirmed the decision, announcing that Sohail Afridi would be appointed as the new chief minister.

Raja explained that the decision was made by Imran Khan himself, adding that the leadership change was necessary amid increasing security concerns and political tensions in the province. He also highlighted the rise in terrorist incidents this year, calling for unity and effective governance to ensure public safety.

With his resignation, Gandapur has signaled his intent to remain a loyal supporter of PTI while stepping away from formal office, aligning himself with Imran Khan’s renewed political strategy and emphasizing unity within the party ranks.
