Apple Releases iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2 With ChatGPT Integration and Exciting Features

Apple has officially released iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2 on all compatible iPhones and iPads, with much-awaited upgrades and exciting features that are sure to capture every user’s imagination. Beta versions and two release candidate ones have now come before a general public rollout to put the updates to users who would enjoy improved performance by innovative tools and better changes.

A key feature is that of OpenAI’s integration with Siri using ChatGPT. It lets Siri work on more complex questions while using the AI provided by ChatGPT while not revealing the identity of users. For users with a ChatGPT account, login will be allowed, along with access to all these features, under OpenAI’s privacy policy.

Another standout feature is Image Playground, which allows users to create creative illustrations from their text inputs and personal pictures. Additionally, the feature Genmoji enables making personalized emojis from text input prompts. Both features easily sync across devices via iCloud and can be accessed.

The Camera app is updated with interactive object recognition using Google Search and ChatGPT. A new two-stage shutter system offers better control over focus and exposure. Mail and Photos have been optimized for categorization and video navigation to make them more fluid.

Safari also gets meaningful updates, such as customizable backgrounds, import/export options, and enhanced HTTPS prioritization for safer browsing.

Bug Fixes and General Updates

The update solves performance issues such as instability in Night mode and visibility glitches in photos. Among other updates, it is layered audio recording for Voice Memos, improved sharing of location through Find My, and natural language searching in Apple Music and Apple TV. News+ subscribers are also treated to Sudoku for more fun.
