This Pakistan Day, Babar Azam will become the youngest cricketer to receive Sitara-e-Imtiaz. This prestigious civil award will be conferred on Azam in the wake of his outstanding achievements in the world if cricket.
The 28-year-old Babar Azam is the captain of Pakistan cricket team and is a top performing batter as well.
The government of Pakistan earlier announced that Azam will receive this award and now it is confirmed that he will be honoured with Sitara-e-Imtiaz on 23rd March, 2023.
Previously, four captains namely Misbah-ul-Haq, Shahid Afridi, Younis Khan and Sarfaraz Ahmed were awarded with Sitara-e-Imtiaz, a third highest civil honour in Pakistan.
