Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has designated Mohsin Naqvi as the new Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), succeeding Zaka Ashraf, who recently resigned from the position.

Currently serving as the caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi assumes the role after the approval of Zaka Ashraf’s resignation by the interim PM.

Zaka Ashraf stepped down from the PCB Management Committee chairman post after a seven-month tenure, citing working conditions as a key factor for his decision.

In his resignation, Ashraf relinquished his role as Chairman Management Committee and Member Board of Governor (BoG), expressing disappointment over the prevailing working conditions that hindered his ability to carry out his responsibilities effectively.

The PCB Management Committee, led by Zaka Ashraf, was formed in July 2023 for a four-month term under the prerogative of the caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar, who acts as the patron of the PCB.
