Dr. Muhammad Amjad, the CEO of Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO), has guaranteed a smooth and continuous electricity supply during the Ashura days. The company has made extensive preparations to ensure this.

In a statement on Sunday, Dr. Amjad announced that Monitoring Control Rooms have been set up at the head office and all six Operation Circles. He emphasized that field formations are working closely with district administration, administrative committees, and police to ensure seamless operations.

Dr. Amjad detailed that IESCO has identified the locations of Imam Bargahs and the routes for mourning processions. The company has upgraded and balanced all electrical wires and transformers along these routes to prevent disruptions.

To handle any emergencies, additional transformers, cables, meters, and other essential materials have been provided to field offices. Transformer trolleys will be stationed at complaint offices, and line staff equipped with the necessary tools will be present during the main processions. A dedicated team led by Chief Engineer Operations Muhammad Aslam Khan will monitor electricity demand, supply, and continuity at 114 grid stations and 1,344 feeders from a central control room in Islamabad, ensuring round-the-clock oversight.

For any complaints, the following contact options will be available: relevant complaint office numbers, helpline number 118, complaint and monitoring cell numbers 0519252933 and 0519252934, and SMS service 8118.

This initiative underscores IESCO’s commitment to providing reliable service during the significant days of Ashura.
