The Punjab government has officially launched “Electro”, Lahore’s first-ever electric bus service, to modernize public transport and provide affordable, eco-friendly commuting options. With an initial fleet of 27 electric buses and 98 stops, the project aims to improve connectivity across the city.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has also directed officials to explore the possibility of an underground metro system, aiming to modernize Lahore’s transport infrastructure further.
