FIA Arrests 16 Beggars Travelling to Saudi Arabia from Multan

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has taken action against a group of sixteen individuals who were arrested at Multan airport for attempting to enter Saudi Arabia under the guise of Umrah pilgrims but with the intention of begging. This group included 11 women, 4 men, and a child.

During the immigration process, these passengers admitted to FIA officials that their purpose for traveling to Saudi Arabia was to engage in begging activities. They also disclosed that they were expected to share half of their earnings from begging with the agents who had arranged their travel. Once their visas expired, they were supposed to return to Pakistan.

In light of this growing issue, the FIA Multan Circle has apprehended these passengers for legal proceedings. It’s worth noting that a recent meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis highlighted the rising trend of beggars from Pakistan seeking opportunities abroad.

Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Secretary Zulfikar Haider revealed that a significant number of beggars arrested in foreign countries were of Pakistani origin, and some exploited pilgrim visas to travel to Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Iraq. This development underscores the need for greater vigilance and regulation in the process of overseas travel.

Interim Interior Minister Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti has alleged that India’s Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), its foreign intelligence agency, was behind recent terror attacks in Balochistan. Bugti made these claims without providing any evidence during a media briefing in Quetta. He stated that those involved in facilitating such attacks, regardless of their affiliation, were all linked to RAW.

This statement follows a suicide blast in Mastung, Balochistan, targeting a 12th Rabiul Awwal procession, resulting in 55 casualties. No group has claimed responsibility, although the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) denied involvement. A separate bombing occurred in Hangu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, killing five people and injuring 12.

Bugti pledged to pursue terrorists relentlessly and emphasized that appeasement policies would no longer be tolerated. He expressed frustration with the state’s history of switching to appeasement policies after gaining strength against terrorists. Bugti also mentioned the recent investigation into attacks, which may have involved different organizations claiming responsibility.

While condemning the recent violence, he promised to take action against those responsible and address the issue of suspending district commissioners and superintendents of police. He noted that this was the first attack of its kind during the 12th Rabiul Awwal occasion in Balochistan, highlighting the previous targeting of the Hazara community and Muharram processions.

Israel and Saudi Arabia considering friendly relations

Israel and Saudi Arabia considering friendly relations

Israel and Saudi Arabia are taking significant strides toward potentially establishing amicable relations, marking a notable shift after years of tension, as confirmed by the White House. This development aligns with President Biden’s vision for transforming the Middle East landscape and potentially bolstering his re-election prospects. Biden’s objective includes securing Saudi Arabia, the guardian of Islam’s most sacred sites, to officially acknowledge Israel, a nation historically criticized for its treatment of Palestinians.

John Kirby, the spokesperson for the US’s National Security Council, acknowledged the existence of a preliminary framework for this burgeoning relationship. He emphasized that, as with any major agreement, compromises from all involved parties would be necessary.

The United States, leveraging its influence, has been encouraging Israel and Saudi Arabia, its two Middle Eastern allies, to formalize their relations. This initiative follows Israel’s previous agreements with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, and Morocco. Both Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have hinted at an impending closer alliance.

However, Saudi Arabia seeks assurances regarding its security, potentially through a treaty with the United States, as a condition for endorsing ties with Israel. Simultaneously, the Palestinian perspective remains crucial, with their insistence on the consideration of their interests, highlighting the belief that lasting Middle East peace can only be achieved through a two-state solution.

Fuel Price Surge and Tariff Adjustments to Heighten Inflation, Says Ministry of Finance

The Ministry of Finance has raised concerns about the looming inflationary challenges that Pakistan is set to face in the near future. These concerns stem from a combination of factors, including the recent surge in fuel prices in September and the upward revision of energy tariffs.

According to the Monthly Update & Outlook for September 2023, released by the Economic Adviser’s Wing of the Finance Division, there has been a positive development in international food prices. The report highlights that global food prices have been on a decline since August 2023.

Factors Driving Inflationary Pressures in Pakistan According to Ministry of Finance

The Food and Agriculture Organization’s (FAO) price index, which monitors the prices of the most widely traded food commodities worldwide, registered an average of 121.4 points in August 2023, compared to 124.0 in the previous month.

This decline is significant, marking the lowest level since March 2021 and reflecting a 24 percent drop from the all-time high in March 2022, following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Although most food commodities have experienced decreases, the report notes that these reductions have been offset by increases in the prices of rice and sugar.

On the domestic front, the government’s stringent actions against illegal foreign exchange dealers and commodity hoarders have contributed to stabilizing the exchange rate. This has provided some relief from imported inflation and has helped alleviate the pressures on commodity prices.

The State Bank of Pakistan has also maintained its policy rate at the previous level, aiming to anchor inflationary expectations. While the double-digit base effect has had a mitigating impact on September’s inflation figures, the significant rise in fuel prices during September 2023 is expected to partially offset these effects.

Moreover, the recent upward adjustments in energy tariffs are anticipated to exacerbate inflationary pressures in the coming months. These tariff revisions are projected to result in increased transportation costs, affecting essential goods and services. Consequently, inflation is predicted to remain elevated in the coming month, with an expected range of 29 to 31 percent for September 2023.

These economic factors collectively emphasize the need for prudent financial management and measures to mitigate the impact of inflation on consumers and businesses in Pakistan.

Pakistani Government Takes a Stand Against Surrogate Betting Sponsors in PCB and PSL

The Pakistani government has issued a stringent directive to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchises, instructing them to cease all sponsorships from surrogate betting companies.

This bold move comes as the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has taken decisive action against the covert betting entities that have infiltrated Pakistan’s cricketing landscape. In an official communique, the ministry has exposed the surrogate companies established by foreign betting corporations to gain access to Pakistan’s cricket ecosystem. Among the revealed entities are 1Xbat, MelBat, Dafa News, and 111 Wolf News, which served as primary sponsors for PSL franchises in the previous edition of the league.

The gravity of the situation lies in the fact that these surrogate companies are linked to casinos, betting firms, and gambling establishments. Their operations not only pose a moral hazard but also inflict financial harm on Pakistan. They clandestinely channel untaxed funds out of the country, thereby undermining the nation’s economy under the pretext of sponsoring PSL franchises and other cricketing events.

In response to these revelations, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has officially prohibited the PCB, PSL franchises, local teams, and tournaments from entering into any future agreements with such surrogate companies associated with banned entities. Furthermore, the franchises have been mandated to terminate any existing contracts with these entities.

Relief from K-Electric: Karachi income tax filers will pay lower electricity bills

K-Electric, the well-known power utility business servicing Karachi, has announced a new programme in an effort to relieve taxpayers and encourage financial transparency. This programme attempts to encourage a culture of fiscal discipline while rewarding income tax payers with lower electricity rates, which will benefit both utility providers and consumers.

A K-Electric representative emphasised the company’s unwavering dedication to addressing the worries of locals concerned about rising electricity prices. It’s vital to remember that K-Electric does not have the jurisdiction to determine electricity tariffs or taxes; instead, regulatory agencies are responsible for making these determinations.

Electricity rates are set by the Ministry of Energy and the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), which consumers should be informed of. Companies that distribute electricity, like K-Electric, have little control over how taxes are applied to electricity bills. Customers are asked to pay their electricity bills on time in order to guarantee an ongoing power supply. Income tax filers in Karachi must show K-Electric proof of their tax filing status in order to receive the discounted electricity rates. They will be qualified for a reduced tariff rate on their monthly electricity consumption once their eligibility has been confirmed.

In addition to saving consumers money on utility bills, this programme helps Pakistan’s government advance open and honest financial practises. This effort has the ability to promote a culture of tax filing and fiscal discipline that benefits both taxpayers and the country’s economy as more people and businesses join up.

90% of beggars in foreign countries detected as ‘Pakistanis’

During a recent session of the Senate’s Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis, concerns about skilled and unskilled labor leaving the country were brought to light. Startling revelations indicated that a substantial number of Pakistanis heading abroad are actually local beggars.

Chaired by Rana Mahmood-ul-Hassan Kakar, the committee disclosed that a staggering 90% of beggars arrested in foreign countries are of Pakistani origin. This raised alarming questions about the circumstances that drive these individuals to leave their homeland.

Zeeshan Khanzada, Secretary (Overseas Pakistanis), shed light on the issue, revealing that a significant portion of beggars is using religious pilgrimage visas to travel to countries like Iraq and Saudi Arabia, only to misuse them by engaging in begging activities. The problem extends to pickpocketing incidents, with a considerable number of those apprehended in Makkah’s Grand Mosque being Pakistanis.

Iraq and Saudi Arabia have expressed concerns about their prisons becoming overcrowded due to the influx of these unofficial immigrants from Pakistan. This alarming situation has prompted Khanzada to label it as an emerging human trafficking issue, demanding immediate attention.

Additionally, Kakar emphasized the missed opportunities for employment in countries like Japan. Despite Japan’s need for 340,000 skilled workers, only 200 came from Pakistan. In stark contrast, India and Nepal sent 150,000 and 91,000 workers, respectively. Despite Pakistan signing a linguistic agreement with Japan in 2019, the response has been underwhelming.

To address Saudi Arabia’s demand for skilled labor, Pakistan had previously made proposals that were declined. Kakar proposed sending 50,000 trained individuals to meet the labor demands in the region.

Furthermore, Khanzada highlighted that Pakistan lags behind India and Bangladesh in global labor markets. Senator Rehman pointed out that Nepal even sends mountain sherpas to Pakistan due to a skills gap within the local population, underscoring the urgent need for measures to enhance skill development and job opportunities for Pakistanis both at home and abroad.

PKR becomes top-performing currency globally throughout September

PKR becomes top-performing currency globally

In a remarkable streak, the Pakistani Rupee (PKR) continued its ascent against the US Dollar (USD) for the seventeenth consecutive session in the interbank market, solidifying its claim as the top-performing currency globally throughout September.

At the end of today’s trading session, the local currency saw a noteworthy gain of Rs. 1.01 against the USD, marking a 0.35 percent appreciation, with the PKR closing at Rs. 287.74. This closing rate stands as the rupee’s strongest performance since August 10, a period spanning seven weeks.

Despite experiencing a cumulative depreciation of over 21 percent in the current calendar year, and a slight depreciation of just over 0.6 percent in the current financial year, September has seen a remarkable turnaround for the PKR, with an impressive gain of over 6 percent.

It’s worth noting that the USD achieved a 10-month high against a basket of major currencies on Wednesday, making the PKR’s consistent ascent all the more noteworthy. Furthermore, during September, most other major currencies also yielded ground to the USD.

In a testament to its strength, the PKR displayed appreciation against all other major currencies in the interbank market on the same day. It gained Rs. 2.58 against the Euro (EUR), Rs. 0.85 against the British Pound (GBP), and Rs. 0.87 against the Australian Dollar (AUD).

Additionally, the PKR showed resilience against other currencies, appreciating by Rs. 0.56 against the Canadian Dollar (CAD), Rs. 0.27 against the UAE Dirham (AED), and Rs. 0.26 against the Saudi Riyal (SAR).

This remarkable performance underscores the PKR’s resurgence in the currency markets, defying earlier trends and outperforming major global currencies throughout the month of September.

Afghanistan’s currency is the best-performing currency in the world.

Unexpectedly, the Afghan Afghani (AFN), the currency of Afghanistan, has recently become the best-performing currency in the world. Economists and financial professionals are interested by this surprising development since it challenges the accepted wisdom about the nation’s economic status. In this essay, we examine the causes of the Afghani’s exceptional achievement as well as any possible repercussions.

The recent geopolitical transition in the area is one of the main factors influencing the strength of the Afghani. Investor sentiment has benefited from the realignment of regional powers and decrease in insecurity brought about by the withdrawal of international forces from Afghanistan.

Afghanistan has a considerable export potential, especially in the agricultural industry. Fruit, nut, and other agricultural exports from the nation have increased, which has improved the trade balance and raised demand for Afghani.

The Afghan government has started economic reforms aimed at attracting international investment and stabilizing the currency. These changes aim to lessen corruption and enhance the business environment.

Global economic variables, such as shifts in commodity prices and market mood, have an impact on how well the Afghani performs. External elements may be unstable.

In conclusion, the Afghan Afghani, the world’s best-performing currency, has had an unexpected revival. Despite the fact that this development is encouraging and shows positive developments in the nation, it is crucial to view it with cautious optimism in light of Afghanistan’s continued political and economic difficulties. Maintaining the Afghani’s strength and promoting long-term prosperity in the country would require continued efforts towards stability, economic development, and good governance.

Pakistan Decides to Repatriate Afghan Refugees Amid Rising Tensions

Pakistan Decides to Repatriate Afghan Refugees Amid Rising Tensions

Pakistan is poised to repatriate over 1.1 million Afghan refugees in the midst of escalating tensions between the neighboring nations, as reported by the Express Tribune. The interim federal government has given preliminary approval to this decision, though official confirmation is pending, leaving the response of Sarfraz Bugti, the Caretaker Interior Minister, still unknown.

Out of this substantial refugee population, approximately 400,000 Afghan individuals sought refuge in Pakistan following the Afghan Taliban’s resurgence in August 2021. An additional 700,000 have been identified as residing in the country without legal authorization for an extended period. These refugees lack essential documentation, such as visas, which permits them to stay in Pakistan. Many have been implicated in criminal activities or anti-state actions, intensifying the urgency of their deportation.

Historically, Pakistan has served as a sanctuary for Afghan refugees for several decades, with a peak population of five million Afghans at one point. Presently, an estimated four million Afghan refugees call Pakistan home, yet only a fraction possess valid refugee cards.

This move to repatriate refugees is set against the backdrop of ongoing disputes between Pakistan and Afghanistan, particularly concerning the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) group. Some analysts suggest that Pakistan’s swift actions may be influenced by the Afghan Taliban’s reluctance to confront the TTP. A recent Pakistani delegation led by Ambassador Asif Durrani visited Kabul, urging the Taliban government to address the TTP threat. While the Afghan Taliban indicated potential action, Pakistani officials remain cautious due to unfulfilled past promises.

Pakistan’s decision is expected to draw attention from the Afghan Taliban government and the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), which typically opposes the forced return of refugees, potentially leading to international repercussions.

How much consumers are charged per unit for electricity?

During a session of the Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat, it was disclosed on Wednesday that consumers have incurred a charge of Rs. 45.06 per unit for electricity, encompassing capacity charges, energy charges, and the margin for Distribution Companies (DISCOs).

The committee convened at Parliament House, presided over by Senator Saadia Abbasi as Chairperson, to deliberate on the surge in electricity rates and its implications for the general populace. The Chairman of the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) expounded that the authority is mandated with the responsibility of ensuring the provision of safe and reasonably priced electricity to consumers.

He elucidated that the nation’s total electricity generation capacity stands at approximately 44,000 MW. At present, an average of 25,000 to 26,000 MW of electricity is being generated within the country, with Independent Power Producers (IPPs) contributing to 70 percent of this production.

In response to Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan’s query regarding the issuance of power generation licenses to IPPs, the NEPRA Chairman clarified that these licenses are granted by the government.

Senator Khan contended that addressing the country’s energy crisis necessitates a thorough review of the unreliable agreements with IPPs. He asserted that recent developments have underscored NEPRA’s failure to provide affordable energy to local consumers, raising concerns about the regulator’s alignment with the interests of IPPs.

Genius Engineering: Man Builds a Cycle with Square Wheels, Here’s How It Works

Genius Engineering: Man Builds a Cycle with Square Wheels

You might think that a cycle with square wheels would be impossible to ride, but one inventive YouTuber has proved otherwise. In a video that has gone viral, the channel The Q shows how they built a custom bicycle with square tires that roll as smoothly as a bike with round ones. The secret is in the design of the wheels and the road.

How Does It Work?

The square wheels themselves don’t actually spin at all, but their rubber tires have been sliced up and paired with four sets of bike chains to create a continuous tread that rolls around the outside of each wheel. It’s essentially a pedal-powered tank, with the bottom edge of each wheel quietly gliding along the pavement as it’s ridden.

The design is inspired by military tanks, which use treads to move over rough terrain. However, unlike tanks, the bicycle has no suspension system or shock absorbers, so it might not be very comfortable to ride on bumpy roads.

Is It the First of Its Kind?

This is not the first time that someone has experimented with square wheels on a bicycle. In fact, there is a mathematical theory behind how a square wheel can roll smoothly over a special road that consists of evenly shaped inverted catenaries of the right size and curvature. A catenary is a curve that describes a rope or chain hanging loosely between two supports.

In 1997, Macalester College mathematics professor Stan Wagon constructed the first prototype of a catenary tricycle, which had square wheels that rolled over a series of bumps shaped like inverted catenaries. The bumps matched the shape of the wheel’s corners, allowing the axle to stay at a constant height and velocity.

Wagon’s tricycle was featured in several museums and exhibitions, and inspired other variations of non-circular wheels, such as triangular or Reuleaux triangle wheels.

Why Did They Do It?

The Q is a YouTube channel that specializes in creating unusual and innovative projects, such as bicycles that walk, bicycles with split wheels, bicycles with airless tires, bicycles with no hubs, and more. The channel has over 12 million subscribers and millions of views on each video.

The channel does not explain why they decided to build a bicycle with square wheels, other than to say “why not?” in the video description. Perhaps they did it for fun, for curiosity, or for challenge. Whatever their motivation, they have certainly demonstrated their creativity and engineering skills.

What Do You Think?

What do you think of this bicycle with square wheels? Would you like to try it out? Do you have any other ideas for unconventional bicycles or vehicles? Let us know in the comments below!

Nepal’s Historic Feat in Asian Games 2023: Breaking Multiple T20I Records

Nepal’s Historic Feat in Asian Games 2023: Breaking Multiple T20I Records

Nepal’s men’s cricket team made history at the ongoing Asian Games cricket tournament in Hangzhou, China as they smashed the highest-ever total in T20I cricket history, the fastest fifty and fastest century by a player in format’s history on Wednesday. Nepal batted first against Mongolia, who opted to field, and posted a mammoth 314 for 3 in 20 overs. This was the first time that any team had crossed the 300-run mark in a T20I match. The previous record for the highest innings total in a T20I was held by Afghanistan, who had amassed 278 for 3 against Ireland on February 23, 2019.

The star of the show for Nepal was Kushal Malla, a 19-year-old left-handed batter, who struck the fastest-ever T20I hundred in 34 balls, eclipsing David Miller and Rohit Sharma’s joint previous record (35 balls). Malla came in at No. 3 and unleashed a barrage of boundaries, hitting 12 sixes and eight fours to remain unbeaten on 137 off just 50 balls. His strike rate of 274 was also the highest for any batsman scoring a hundred or more in a T20I.

Malla was well supported by Dipendra Singh Airee, who also rewrote the record books by blasting a nine-ball fifty that bettered Yuvraj Singh’s 16-year-old record. Yuvraj had taken 12 balls for his fifty en route to scoring 58 in the World T20 match against England on September 19, 2007. Airee came in at No. 5 and smashed seven sixes and two fours to score an unbeaten 66 off just 15 balls. His strike rate of 440 was also the highest for any batsman scoring a fifty or more in a T20I.

The duo added an unbeaten 131 runs for the fourth wicket in just 5.4 overs, with an astonishing run rate of 23.11. They took the Mongolian bowlers to the cleaners, hitting them all over the park. The highest partnership for any wicket in a T20I was previously held by Aaron Finch and D’Arcy Short, who had added 223 runs for the opening wicket against Zimbabwe on July 3, 2018.

Nepal’s opening pair of Gyanendra Malla and Binod Bhandari also gave them a solid start, putting on 67 runs in 6.2 overs. Gyanendra Malla scored 32 off 18 balls, while Bhandari made 28 off 21 balls. The only wicket-taker for Mongolia was Ankhbayar Narantsogt, who took three wickets for 47 runs in his four overs.

In reply, Mongolia were never in the chase and were bowled out for just 36 runs in 11 overs, losing by a massive margin of 278 runs. This was also the biggest victory margin (by runs) in a T20I match. The previous record was held by Sri Lanka, who had beaten Kenya by 172 runs in the inaugural World T20 in South Africa on September 14, 2007.

The best bowler for Nepal was Karan KC, who took four wickets for six runs in his three overs. He was well supported by Sandeep Lamichhane, who took three wickets for nine runs in his four overs. The only batsman to reach double figures for Mongolia was Khaliunbold Bayarsaikhan, who scored 12 off nine balls.

With this win, Nepal topped their group with four points from two matches and qualified for the quarter-finals of the Asian Games cricket championship. They will face Oman in their next match on Friday. Mongolia finished at the bottom of their group with no points from two matches and were eliminated from the tournament.

This was a historic day for Nepal cricket and their fans, who witnessed their team break multiple world records and create history in Asian Games cricket. Nepal have shown that they are a force to reckon with in the shortest format of the game and have earned respect from cricket lovers around the world.

Pakistan finally issued visas for World Cup 2023

Pakistan finally issued visas for World Cup 2023

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially confirmed that the Indian government has granted visas to the Pakistan squad for their upcoming World Cup campaign. This development comes less than 48 hours before the team is scheduled to depart for Hyderabad via Dubai. The approval from the Indian authorities was received on Monday, following a period of uncertainty that had prompted the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to express their dissatisfaction with the visa delay in a formal communication to the ICC.

At the time of the email sent by the PCB, the visas had not been granted, and the delay had already forced the Pakistan team to cancel their pre-World Cup team bonding trip to the UAE. However, the situation began to resolve as the Ministry of Home Affairs granted security clearance for visa issuance, and the process was set in motion.

Despite continuous communication between the PCB and the ICC, the PCB chose to formally address their concerns about the unequal treatment of Pakistan in this visa matter. Pakistan was the sole participating team in the World Cup experiencing such delays in visa issuance. In their communication, the PCB sought clarification from the ICC regarding the steps they intended to take to resolve the issue.

They also questioned whether written confirmations had been provided by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) or the Indian government, affirming the provision of visas to all participating nations. While the BCCI had orally assured the ICC at their annual conference in Durban that visas for the Pakistan contingent would be facilitated on time, written confirmation remained unverified.

Furthermore, the PCB raised concerns about whether the inability to provide visas in a timely manner could be considered a breach of the hosting agreement for the World Cup. As a result of these developments, Pakistan is now set to depart for Dubai in the early hours of Wednesday and will transit there before proceeding to Hyderabad on the same day. Their first warm-up match is scheduled for Friday against New Zealand in Hyderabad.

The PCB expressed its disappointment at the situation, highlighting the lengthy history of reminders and obligations leading up to this point. It’s been a trying time for Pakistan’s team, and the visa delay has created uncertainty as they prepare for a significant tournament. The PCB remains committed to resolving the matter while ensuring their team can focus on their performance at the World Cup.

Refugees Fleeing Nagorno-Karabakh Find Shelter in Armenia

Nagorno-Karabakh Find Shelter in Armenia

In the wake of Azerbaijan’s swift military offensive, marking their reclamation of Nagorno-Karabakh, the first wave of refugees has now found shelter in Armenia. The Armenian government, as reported by the state news outlet Armenpress, announced that approximately 4,850 individuals had crossed into Armenia from Nagorno-Karabakh by noon on Monday.

Azerbaijan’s recent military incursion, though brief, was marked by significant bloodshed, resulting in the tragic loss of over 200 lives and countless injuries. The conflict reached an uneasy halt through a Russia-brokered ceasefire, in which Karabakh officials reluctantly agreed to dissolve their armed forces. President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan boldly proclaimed the restoration of Baku’s control over the contested enclave, asserting their sovereignty with resolute determination.

Amidst this geopolitical maneuvering, Azerbaijan has put forth a directive that ethnic Armenians who opt to remain in Nagorno-Karabakh must undergo a formal process to attain Azerbaijani citizenship.

In response to this directive, the Karabakh presidency conveyed to Reuters that a significant majority of the enclave’s 120,000-strong Armenian population was unwilling to live under Azerbaijani governance.
