Pakistan Army has announced to hold Pakistan Day parade on 23rd March on a limited scale to join in government’s austerity drive. Pakistan is going through a tough economic time and the government has recently announced some austerity measures to lesses the financial burden.
The Pakistan Day parade happens each year to commemorate Pakistan Resolution passed in 1940 to establish a separate homeland for the Muslims of subcontinent. Every year, the parade takes place at Shakarparian ground where spectators get to see a great power show of our Military arms and cultural diversity.
Considering the worst financial crunch, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced on February an austerity drive to cut down on expenditures. The government aims to save Rs 200 billion each year per annum.
