Arooj Sohail Butt, who previously served as the PFF’s safeguarding officer, holds certifications in safeguarding from FIFA, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), and the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). Her new role involves overseeing the under-17 squad as they prepare for the upcoming SAFF Championship and Asian qualifiers later this year.

PFF officials stated that Butt’s appointment reflects the federation’s dedication to fostering an inclusive and professional environment where qualified women can assume leadership roles in football. In 2019, the PFF Normalisation Committee took a progressive step by appointing Manizeh Zainli as general secretary.
