The new platform officially replaces the older Pakistan Railway Tracking System, which had become outdated and lacked integration with modern digital tools. Track My Train is now available for Android and iOS users, with over 100,000 downloads already reported on Google Play.

Developed by Mango Tech Solutions, the app offers a user-friendly interface that enables:
- Live train location tracking on the entire Pakistan Railways network
- Station-specific arrival and departure updates
- Delay alerts by comparing scheduled vs. real-time positions
- A full breakdown of train routes and upcoming station stops
In addition to supporting both English and Urdu, the interface is optimized for simple navigation but currently does not extend language support to regional languages like Punjabi, Sindhi, or Pashto.
Data Privacy and App Permissions
While the app is not officially owned or operated by Pakistan Railways, it utilizes publicly accessible GPS and timetable data to provide its tracking services. According to Mango Tech Solutions, user data is encrypted during transmission. However, the app does collect device-level identifiers and may share them with third-party services for analytics and ad delivery. The current version includes in-app advertisements but remains free for public use.
