This marks his second bronze and fourth overall Paralympic medal. Uzbekistan’s Tolibboy Yuldashev claimed gold, while Canada’s Jesse Zesseu won silver.
Haider had a promising start with a throw of 52.28 meters, leading until the third round. However, Zesseu surpassed him with a throw of 52.81 meters, and Tolibboy took the lead with a 53.48-meter throw. In the final round, Tolibboy solidified his victory with a remarkable 57.28-meter throw, while Haider’s final attempt reached 52.54 meters, ensuring him the bronze.
Haider’s incredible Paralympic career also includes a gold medal in the F37 Discus Throw at Tokyo 2020, a silver in the F37/38 Long Jump at Beijing 2008, and a bronze in the T37 Long Jump at Rio 2016. Although he narrowly missed retaining his gold, Haider once again made Pakistan proud with his performance.
