PIA Introduces Fare Discounts for Umrah Pilgrims

In a bid to facilitate Umrah pilgrims, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced reduced airfares for travelers heading to Saudi Arabia. This initiative aims to make the pilgrimage more affordable for Pakistani citizens.

According to a PIA spokesperson, the airline is offering a 15% discount on fares for pilgrims flying from Toronto to Madina with a layover in Lahore. This discounted fare is effective immediately and will be available until November 15, providing ample time for travelers to plan their trips.

This move follows a significant 30% fare reduction introduced by PIA last month for flights to various Saudi cities, including Riyadh, Dammam, and Al Qassim. The previous discount offer was well-received, offering travelers more budget-friendly options for their journeys. However, that promotion ended last month, making the new 15% discount especially welcome for those planning their Umrah pilgrimage.

In addition to the fare reductions, PIA has announced the commencement of direct flights from Quetta to Saudi Arabia starting August 6. This new service is expected to simplify travel for Umrah pilgrims and other passengers from the Balochistan region. PIA will operate two weekly flights between Quetta and Saudi Arabia, addressing the need for direct connectivity.

Passengers from Quetta previously had to endure the inconvenience of connecting flights through Karachi, Lahore, or Islamabad, often resulting in longer travel times and additional stress. The new direct flights will alleviate these issues, providing a more streamlined and comfortable travel experience.
