Ongoing Counter-Terrorism Efforts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
In a decisive intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Sararogha area of South Waziristan, Pakistani security forces eliminated 13 terrorists. This operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat militancy in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
The military’s media wing reported that the operation was conducted based on credible intelligence regarding the presence of militants in the region. The successful neutralization of these elements underscores the security forces’ commitment to eradicating terrorism and ensuring peace in the area.
Earlier, on December 21, a confrontation in the Makeen district of South Waziristan resulted in the martyrdom of 16 security personnel and the elimination of eight militants. These incidents highlight the ongoing challenges faced by security forces in maintaining stability in the region.
