KARACHI: Despite a reduction in the global market, the costs of cooking oil and ghee in Pakistan remained steady on Monday, according to ARY News.

In an era of global economic volatility, one important part of daily living in Pakistan has remained unexpectedly stable: cooking oil and ghee costs. While the rest of the world is experiencing price increases and changes in numerous commodities, five key kitchen necessities in Pakistan have remained stable. This phenomenon has provided some relief to those suffering from the effects of increased expenditures.

Despite a global decline of $110 per tonne in a month, local markets in Pakistan have maintained cooking oil and ghee prices unchanged. When compared to worldwide rates, both local and branded enterprises maintained their prior prices for edible oil and ghee.

He went on to say that the costs of the products were cut by Rs38 per kilogramme, and then by Rs42 per kilogramme after the rupee strengthened against the US currency.

According to Umar Rehan Shaikh, the price of edible oil on the worldwide market last month was $960 per tonne, which was cut to $850 per tonne following a $110 decrease.

The consistent costs of cooking oil and ghee provide a sense of financial certainty for Pakistani households. These kitchen staples are essential for everyday meals, and their low cost alleviates the strain on family budgets.
