The Governor House Sindh, Karachi, on October 24, 2024, successfully organized the Women Leadership Conference 2024 as a tribute to the progress of influential women who made a difference across various sectors.

This was a wonderful moment to unite leaders and innovators from the industry to highlight the potential change women can generate at leadership levels, innovative ideas, and resilience levels. The conversations were riveting and thought-provoking, peppered with personal anecdotal accounts of victory as women remake industries and societies.

Shaping the Future: Celebrating Women Leaders at the Women Leadership Conference 2024

The Guest of Honour for the conference was Sultana Siddiqui, President of HUM Network Pvt. Ltd. Her keynote speech, “From Challenges to Changes: Inspiring Women through My Journey of Success,” was a very powerful reminder of the trail-blazing route she took through the media industry.

That speech stood as a symbol of what a woman leader can do, and it is this inspiration that can help women at a point in their lives when they want to lead and break through obstacles with women as inspirers.

She called for breaking barriers to inclusion and resilience. British Deputy High Commissioner Karachi and the event’s Chief Guest Sarah Mooney discussed “Breaking Barriers: Overcoming Challenges as Women Leaders,” focusing on women’s confronting and breaking down barriers in society. Mooney encouraged women to carry on that process and that resilience goes a long way in leadership.

One of the guest speakers was Moneeza Usman Butt, Partner at KPMG Pakistan. Her keynote was entitled “Innovative Leadership: Women Driving Change in a Dynamic World.” The keynote looked at how innovation helps women stay afloat and survive in this dynamic world today.

Sarah Williams, the Head of the School of Business and Law at Buckinghamshire New University added her voice to the debate, discussing “The Role of Women in PR”. Her presentation underlined how women influence communication and industry hegemony.

A dynamic panel consisting of Dr Fatima Dar, Mr Arshad Saeed Hussain, Deepak Perwani, and Ms Masarrat Misbah concluded the conference by providing diverse views on leadership and its effects on society. A very influential meeting, inspiring the attendees to work for a good cause of societal and change-filled outcomes through the avenue of women leaders.
