Pakistan International Airlines is expanding its London operations to seven flights per week, effectively providing a daily PIA connection between Pakistan and the British capital.
The expanded schedule includes:
Five weekly Islamabad-London flights
and
Two weekly Lahore-London flights.
PIA had previously been operating four weekly London services.
When Do Daily London Flights Begin?
There is a small discrepancy in the dates reported publicly.
PIA’s September announcement, quoted by several outlets, said the seven-flight weekly schedule would begin on October 27, 2026.
A newer October 21 report states that the daily operation will start from November 1.
Passengers should therefore check PIA’s current booking system for their specific travel date.
Which Pakistani Cities Will Have London Flights?
The seven weekly flights are divided between:
Islamabad — five per week
Lahore — two per week
So while PIA will operate a Pakistan-London flight every day of the week, neither Islamabad nor Lahore individually receives a daily London flight.
PIA Also Plans Birmingham Return
PIA is also preparing to resume flights to Birmingham, restoring another important UK destination for Pakistani travellers.
The latest announcement did not provide a complete Birmingham schedule, so passengers should wait for confirmed flight timings and booking availability.
Why Are UK Routes Important for PIA?
The UK is one of Pakistan’s most important international aviation markets due to the large Pakistani diaspora and significant family, business and student travel between the two countries.
Increasing London frequency provides passengers with greater flexibility and expands PIA’s capacity on a high-demand international route.
How to Check Flight Times and Fares
Passengers should verify:
- exact operating date;
- departure city;
- Heathrow schedule;
- ticket price;
- baggage allowance; and
- return-flight timing
through PIA’s official booking channels before purchasing tickets.
PIA is increasing its London service to seven flights per week, consisting of five Islamabad flights and two Lahore flights.
While earlier announcements cited October 27 for the expanded schedule and a newer report mentions November 1, the underlying development remains the same: PIA is moving to a daily Pakistan-London operation.
