Revenue increased by almost 20% year-on-year, while profit grew at a slower pace because costs also increased.
Car Sales Rise 34%
Strong vehicle sales supported the quarter.
Indus Motor reportedly sold 13,260 vehicles, up 34% year-on-year.
The Yaris, Corolla and Corolla Cross segment accounted for 10,925 units, an increase of 43%, while combined Fortuner and Hilux volumes reached 2,335 units, up around 3%.
The increase in volumes helped push quarterly net sales to around Rs74 billion.
Gross Margin Narrows
Despite stronger sales, gross margin declined to approximately:
15.3%
from:
17.1%
in the corresponding quarter last year.
The change was attributed partly to the sales mix, with sedans representing a larger share of total vehicle volumes.
Costs Also Increased
Distribution expenses increased to around Rs723 million, while administrative expenses rose to approximately Rs898 million.
Finance costs climbed sharply to around Rs204 million, compared with about Rs50 million a year earlier.
Other income provided some support, rising to:
Rs3.22 billion
from approximately:
Rs2.90 billion.
Rs56 Per Share Dividend
Alongside the quarterly results, Indus Motor announced its first interim cash dividend of:
Rs56 per share
equivalent to a 560% payout on the face value of the company’s shares.
The company’s earnings per share for the quarter stood at:
Rs93.95.
Toyota Pakistan’s Recent Performance
Indus Motor also ended FY2025-26 with stronger annual financial performance.
For the year ended June 30, 2026, revenue reached approximately Rs258.75 billion, while profit after tax stood at Rs25.51 billion.
Annual vehicle sales reached 45,035 units, around 33% higher year-on-year.
Indus Motor has started FY2026-27 with higher sales, revenue and profitability.
Quarterly profit increased nearly 10% to Rs7.38 billion, while revenue expanded almost 20% to Rs74.01 billion on stronger vehicle volumes.
However, the slower increase in profit compared with sales also reflects higher costs and narrower gross margins.
