Pakistan State Oil reported standalone profit after tax of Rs15.07 billion for the financial year ended June 30, 2026, according to its September 25 results announcement.
The company reported stronger gross profit from its business excluding LNG, alongside continued fuel-supply operations during the Strait of Hormuz crisis.
PSO FY2026 financial highlights
| Measure | Reported result |
|---|---|
| Standalone profit after tax | Rs15.07 billion |
| Standalone earnings per share | Rs32.10 |
| Gross profit | Rs99.9 billion |
| Gross profit excluding LNG | Rs81.9 billion |
| Growth in gross profit excluding LNG | 20.5% |
Understanding the growth figure
The 20.5% increase applies specifically to gross profit excluding LNG. It should not be described as a 20.5% increase in overall net profit.
Gross profit and profit after tax measure different stages of financial performance. Readers comparing results should also keep standalone company figures separate from consolidated group figures.
For wider industry context, see our coverage of Pakistan’s listed refinery sector performance in FY2026. Those sector results are separate from PSO’s company results.
Supply continuity and workplace safety
PSO said it maintained fuel supplies through the regional disruption by coordinating with government institutions, refineries, suppliers, transporters, dealers and banks.
The company reported zero fatalities and more than 48 million safe man-hours during FY2026. Its reported lost-time injury rate and total recordable incident rate were both 0.07.
These are company-reported safety indicators. Zero fatalities should not be read as meaning that no injuries or other incidents occurred.
The results provide a clearer picture when financial performance, supply continuity and safety are considered separately, rather than combined into a general claim of business growth.
