Appointment of Acting Deputy Commissioner Announced
In response to recent unrest, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has appointed Ashfaq Khan, a grade 18 officer, as the acting Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Kurram.
This decision follows a firing incident that left the current DC injured. The notification, issued by the Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, aims to ensure continuity in administrative functions during this period of instability.
The provincial government has also imposed Section 144 in the district to maintain law and order. These measures reflect the administration’s commitment to restoring peace and addressing the challenges faced by the region.
