Barbie Becomes the First Ever Solo Woman Director Movie to Earn $1bn Globally

Hollywood’s Barbie has stirred a Pink Storm across the globe. It has been topping the charts everywhere. In North American theatres alone, Barbie dominated the screens for the third week straight.

The movie has also crossed the $1 billion mark, which is the first one for a woman director, reported by Exhibitor Relations.

The reports also suggest that not only has Barbie become the first ever movie made by women to cross $1bn club, but it has also done it faster than any other movie.

Barbie also successfully became the movie with the biggest opening weekend of the year. Analyst Paul Dergarabedian from Comscore said, “it has captured the imagination of moviegoers around the world and the results are incredibly impressive.”
