In March 2023, the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) introduced the Pak-ID application. One of the core benefits Pakistanis could enjoy from the launch of this application was getting their National Identity Cards (CNICs) delivered to their doorsteps, without visiting Nadra’s Office.
It means now you will not have to wait in long queues! Just by following the simple process, you can get your CNICs, in a hassle-free manner, in the comfort of your home.
Among other perks this application carries, you can also apply for various documents from your mobile phones such as family registration certificates, and other identification documents.
Back then, Chairman Tariq Malik of Nadra said that,
Pak ID app will be vital in achieving the objectives of ‘Digital Pakistan’ through improved services. Touted as ‘contactless technology’, the app allowed users to apply, receive and review documents online.
