Commissioner Muhammad Saleem Rajput orders the ban under Section 144 of the criminal procedure code to safeguard public well-being.
Karachi Traffic Police additionally imposes a ban on visiting entertainment spots to prevent untoward incidents on New Year’s Eve. Citizens are urged to use alternate routes for heading towards Defence, and residents are advised to carry original CNICs.
