A pilot flying his tourist plane faced an emergency situation when his plane’s engine broke down midair on Sunday. This forced the French pilot to land his aircraft in water, saving all passengers on board.
The aircraft Cessna 177 touched down on the waters near the Mediterranean resort of Frejus at nearly 10 am (0800 GMT).
According to the local fire department, the pilot intentionally chose this location in order to avoid the crowded beach where a number of holidaymakers were present.
A spokesperson said, “To pull that off, you need a lot of technical ability and a bit of luck.”
