The Rawalpindi district administration has announced the establishment of multiple subsidized Ramadan Bazaars to provide essential commodities at reduced prices during the holy month.
Locations and Offerings
Seventeen bazaars will be set up across the district, including areas like Committee Chowk, Hyderi Chowk, and Dhoke Hassu. These markets will offer discounted items such as vegetables, fruits, meat, flour, sugar, and cooking oil.
Operational Details
The bazaars are scheduled to commence operations on the 25th of Shaban and will continue throughout Ramadan. From the 20th of Ramadan onwards, these markets will transition into Eid Bazaars, offering festive items and clothing. Deputy Commissioner Hasan Waqar Cheema stated that each bazaar will have a dedicated in-charge to oversee pricing and security, ensuring a smooth experience for shoppers.
