Meta on Friday announced that it has fixed a technical glitch that was automatically sending friend requests to users when someone would visit their profile.
The bug was brought into notice when a number of users took to social media and complained about the error. Some users even called it “the end of stalking” assuming thay Facebook has introduced a new feature where a request would be sent to the user whenever they would check/stalk any profile.
“We fixed a bug related to a recent app update that caused some Facebook friend requests to be sent mistakenly. We’ve stopped this from happening, and we apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused,” a company representative told the media.
