In an outstanding success, young wrestler of Pakistan, Hasan Ali Bhola, made history by winning a gold medal at the ongoing Children of Asia Games in Yakutsk, Russia. Bhola is Pakistan’s only entry in the competition and he is entering with thumping performances on a journey that is nothing short of inspirational.
Hasan Ali Bhola’s challenging path in Children of Asia Games
Tough was the route Bhola faced to reach his last goal of gold. Bhola cited his super wrestling and strategic strength as he faced competitors from Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and Mongolia. Coming into the final match, Bhola fought against two powerful Kyrgyz wrestlers and managed to get again a clean victory with a final score of 8-2.
It was a win which further underlined Bhola’s tenacity and poise under the most demanding circumstances and, by doing so, it sent a wave of joy through the Pakistan Wrestling Federation. Federation President Abdul Mubeen and Senior Vice President Arshad Sattar expressed their deepest congratulations to Bhola and his coach, Ghulam Fareed, for their outstanding input and performance.
The 8th International Sports Games of the Children of Asia marks a significant event as it takes place at its birthplace: Yakutsk in 2024. The administrative-territorial unit of Yakutsk is represented as the biggest in volume, and the region it is a part of is the biggest in the Russian Federation—these features make Yakutsk the biggest permafrost city in the world.
