SSP Ammara Athar Appointed as Chief Administrative Officer in Punjab Safe Cities Authority

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ammara Athar has officially been posted as the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) in the Punjab Safe Cities Authority. According to details reported by 24NewsHD, she has relinquished her previous role as AIG Discipline and has now assumed her new responsibilities within the authority.

Ammara Athar’s appointment is seen as a significant step in further strengthening the operational and administrative framework of the Punjab Safe Cities Authority. Known for her professionalism and dedication, her leadership is expected to bring more efficiency to the ongoing projects focused on smart surveillance and security management across the province.

The Punjab Safe Cities Authority has been playing a central role in enhancing security measures, traffic monitoring, and public safety using advanced technology. Her appointment comes shortly after a high-level foreign delegation visited the Punjab Safe Cities Authority. Bangladesh High Commissioner to Pakistan, Iqbal Hussain Khan, led the delegation that included senior officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Bangladeshi Police. The delegation was warmly welcomed by senior officers of the Authority, who briefed them on the operational model and technological innovations being used to improve urban security and surveillance.

The exchange highlighted how the Safe Cities model is becoming a point of reference for regional collaboration in security and technology. The visiting delegation appreciated the advanced infrastructure of the Punjab Safe Cities Authority, noting that it could serve as an effective model for similar projects in Bangladesh.
