Gold Prices Rise for Third Consecutive Day in Pakistan

Gold prices continued their upward trend in Pakistan on Monday, marking the third consecutive day of gains as international bullion markets also recorded another increase. The steady rise reflects growing demand for safe-haven assets amid ongoing uncertainty in global financial markets.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs300, reaching Rs424,536 across the country.

The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also moved higher, gaining Rs258 to settle at Rs363,971. The latest increase follows a series of upward adjustments in recent days, extending the positive momentum in Pakistan’s precious metals market.

The domestic gold market generally follows trends in international bullion prices while also taking into account fluctuations in the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar. Changes in global economic conditions, geopolitical developments, inflation expectations, and central bank policies continue to influence gold prices worldwide.

International gold rates also posted another increase, providing additional support to local prices. Investors often turn to gold during periods of economic uncertainty, geopolitical tensions, and market volatility, viewing the precious metal as a reliable store of value.

The recent gains come as global financial markets continue to monitor inflation trends, interest rate expectations, and geopolitical developments that could affect investor sentiment. Strong demand for safe-haven assets has helped sustain higher gold prices in international markets.

For Pakistani consumers, rising gold prices may increase the cost of jewelry purchases and wedding-related spending. However, investors who hold gold as a long-term asset often view price appreciation as a positive sign, particularly during periods of economic uncertainty.

Market analysts believe gold prices are likely to remain sensitive to international developments, including movements in the US dollar, monetary policy decisions by major central banks, and changes in global investment demand. Any significant shift in these factors could influence both international bullion prices and Pakistan’s local gold market.

Traders will continue to monitor global market conditions in the coming days to determine whether the current upward trend can be sustained. If international prices remain firm, domestic gold rates may continue to experience further gains.
