Honda BR-V Discontinued in Pakistan After Nearly Nine Years
Honda Atlas Cars has discontinued production of the Honda BR-V in Pakistan, bringing the locally assembled seven-seat crossover’s run to an end after nearly nine years.
A senior Honda Atlas executive confirmed that the decision was not caused by difficulties obtaining parts or accessories. Instead, the company said the BR-V had completed its product lifecycle.
The vehicle has also been removed from Honda Pakistan’s current online model lineup.
When Did the Honda BR-V Launch in Pakistan?
Local assembly of the BR-V began in April 2017.
The vehicle entered Honda’s Pakistani lineup as a seven-seat option aimed primarily at families seeking more seating capacity than a conventional sedan while retaining the characteristics of a compact crossover.
It remained part of Honda Atlas’s local portfolio for more than nine years.
Why Has Honda Stopped BR-V Production?
According to Honda Atlas, the vehicle reached the end of its lifecycle.
The company has specifically indicated that the production halt was not due to problems importing components.
Production volumes had, however, become relatively limited. A Honda executive told Dawn that volumes were around 25 to 50 units per month before production ended.
Pakistan’s crossover market has also changed significantly since the BR-V was introduced, with consumers now able to choose from a much larger range of locally assembled and imported SUVs, crossovers, hybrids and electric vehicles.
Are BR-V Sales Falling?
Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association data increasingly combines BR-V and HR-V figures, so the statistics should not be treated as BR-V-only sales.
For July and August 2026, combined production of the BR-V and HR-V was reported at 120 units, while combined sales stood at 191 units.
In the corresponding period of 2025, production stood at 1,460 units and sales at 731 units.
Because these figures cover both models, they cannot show precisely how many BR-V units were sold individually.
Will Honda Launch a BR-V Replacement?
Honda Atlas has not announced a direct replacement for the BR-V.
The company executive cited in the report said he could not confirm whether Honda planned to introduce another model to replace it in the near future.
Honda’s current Pakistani passenger-car lineup continues to include models such as the City, Civic and HR-V.
That means Honda is currently without a directly listed seven-seat replacement for the BR-V.
What Does This Mean for Existing BR-V Owners?
Discontinuation of production does not mean existing BR-V vehicles suddenly become unusable or unsupported.
Current owners should continue following Honda’s recommended maintenance schedules and use authorised or reputable service providers when maintenance or replacement parts are required.
Owners should also continue monitoring official Honda communications for recalls or service campaigns affecting their vehicles.
