According to media sources, a shooting has been reported close to the Karachi Police Office (KPO), the main Sharea Faisal location of the city police.

Murad Ali Shah, the chief minister of Sindh, has taken note of the predicament and has ordered the necessary DIGs to send personnel from their respective zones.

He added that an attack on the KPO was “not acceptable” at any cost and demanded the arrest of those responsible for the attack on the extra IG’s office.

The chief minister stated that he was personally keeping an eye on the situation and asked the concerned officer for a report.

The terrorists tried to break into the four-story building after throwing hand grenades from the police headquarters’ backyard.

When the attackers opened fire and set off explosions in the police chief’s office, staff members were still there, according to the authorities.

Police forces arrived in large numbers at the headquarters. The Karachi police chief’s office’s lights were all turned off. According to police sources, they are looking into the number and locations of the attackers.
