Gold Price in Pakistan Jumps Rs. 11,200 in a Single Day

Gold prices in Pakistan recorded a sharp recovery on Thursday, with the price of 24-karat gold increasing by Rs. 11,200 per tola as domestic rates followed a similar upward movement in the international gold market.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold reached Rs. 465,236 per tola after registering the significant one-day increase.

The latest rise comes after gold prices had experienced losses previously. The sudden rebound highlights the continued volatility in the precious metals market, where local prices can move quickly in response to international trends.

The price of 10-gram gold also increased during the day. It climbed by Rs. 9,602 to reach Rs. 398,864, according to the rates reported by the APGJSA.

The increase in local gold prices was linked to a similar movement in international gold prices. Global market trends are an important factor influencing gold rates in Pakistan, along with currency movements and other market conditions.

Gold remains one of the most closely followed commodities in Pakistan, particularly among investors, jewelers and consumers planning to purchase gold for weddings and other occasions.

A sharp increase of more than Rs. 11,000 in a single day can have a noticeable impact on buyers and sellers. Consumers looking to purchase jewelry may face higher costs, while existing gold holders could see an increase in the value of their holdings.

The latest rates also demonstrate how quickly the domestic gold market can reverse direction. After recording losses, gold prices moved higher as international prices strengthened, pushing the local per-tola rate significantly upward.

The APGJSA regularly announces gold rates that are followed by markets and consumers across Pakistan. The association’s reported figures provide an important reference for gold dealers and buyers when assessing daily price movements.

For investors, gold continues to attract attention as a traditional store of value. Changes in international prices can therefore have a direct effect on domestic market expectations.

The latest increase puts the 24-karat gold rate at Rs. 465,236 per tola, while 10-gram gold stands at Rs. 398,864. Consumers and traders are likely to continue watching international market developments for indications of where local prices may move next.

Gold price movements can change from one trading session to another, making it important for buyers to check the latest market rates before making major purchases.
