The Sindh government is contacting more than 100 companies to expand internship and employment opportunities for students, fresh graduates and young professionals through its I Work for Sindh digital platform.
Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon said the initiative is intended to connect young people with employers while helping align skills with labour-market requirements.
How Many Jobs Are Available?
According to figures shared by the provincial government, more than 31,270 job opportunities have been posted through the platform, including 24,766 listed as active.
Around 136,547 candidates have registered, while 721 companies are participating. Candidates have submitted more than 473,000 applications through the system.
These figures refer to advertised opportunities and applications rather than confirmed job placements.
What Is I Work for Sindh?
I Work for Sindh is a government-backed employment and professional networking portal designed to connect jobseekers with private- and public-sector opportunities.
The platform says it is free for both jobseekers and employers, with no charge for registering, posting vacancies or applying for jobs.
Applicants can create a profile, upload their resume, search vacancies and submit applications online.
Are Internships Also Available?
Yes.
The government says it is specifically working to increase opportunities for students, fresh university graduates and people at the beginning of their careers.
More than 100 additional companies are being approached to participate in the employment and internship programme.
Free Skills Training
The platform also provides access to more than 1,800 internationally recognised short courses.
Government figures say 4,620 candidates have completed training so far, while another 5,789 are currently enrolled.
What Is Coming Next?
The Sindh government is developing a system to automatically bring public- and private-sector vacancies onto the platform.
Initial implementation is expected over approximately the next one-and-a-half to two months, while daily job alerts are also planned.
