Khunjerab Pass to remain accessible throughout Year

Chinese authorities have agreed to keep Khunjerab Pass open throughout the year for travel and trade activities. Amjad Hussain, a PPP leader from Gilgit-Baltistan told the media that China has also allowed import of different items from Pakistan on easy terms and conditions.
Hussain also added that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan have been demanding opening of the Khunjerab Pass for a long time now.
This latest development will not only be beneficial in promoting trade between both the counties but would play a great role in improving our economy.
Khunjerab Pass is the world’s highest paved road and currently it is open for trade from April-December only.
