Customs Intelligence has filed a First Information Report (FIR) against the owner of M/s Food Links International, Shahid Huda, and Muhammad Manaf, the clearing agent from M/s Danish International Karachi.

The complaint alleges their involvement in the under-invoicing of vegetable oil and related products, causing substantial losses to the government through the use of fake invoices and declaring a 59% lower value for imported consignments.

The Directorate of Intelligence and Investigations Customs, as reported by Pro Pakistani, contends that M/s Food Links International undervalued imported vegetable oil and its products, in stark contrast to data provided by the Pakistan Vanaspati Manufacturers Association, which indicates significantly higher values.

The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) announced on Monday that Pakistani students can now take advantage of the chance to study in Europe on scholarship, which is a welcome step.

Students from Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir will be eligible to enroll in bachelor’s, master’s, one-tier master’s, and Ph.D. programs at several Hungarian universities thanks to the “Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme (2024–25)”.

The minimum educational requirement for bachelor’s and one-tier master’s degrees is 12 years, whereas applicants to master’s programs need to have finished 16 years of school.

Individuals who have completed 17–18 years of study can apply for a PhD program in the interim.

In addition to paying for tuition, the scholarships will help students with living expenses and medical costs.
