The government of Punjab, Pakistan has recently announced a new dress code for students in the province. The new dress code is aimed at promoting a sense of discipline and respect among students, as well as creating a more professional and formal learning environment.

The dress code for male students includes a white shirt, black trousers and black shoes. Male students are also required to have a properly groomed hair and a clean-shaven face. Female students are required to wear a white shalwar kameez, dupatta and black shoes. Female students are also required to have a proper hairstyle and minimal makeup.

The new dress code is mandatory for all students in government schools and colleges, as well as for students in private institutions who are receiving government scholarships. The government has stated that the dress code will be strictly enforced and that students who do not adhere to the dress code will not be allowed to attend classes.

The new dress code has been met with mixed reactions from students, parents, and educators. Some have applauded the move as a positive step towards creating a more professional and disciplined learning environment. They argue that the dress code will help students take their studies more seriously and create a more focused and productive learning atmosphere.

On the other hand, some have criticized the new dress code, arguing that it is overly restrictive and takes away from students’ freedom of expression. They argue that the dress code is unnecessary and that students should be allowed to dress as they please, as long as they are not disrupting the learning environment.

Overall, the introduction of the new dress code by the government of Punjab is a significant step in promoting a sense of discipline and respect among students. It is important to note that it’s not only about the dress code but also the overall atmosphere that is created in the school. The dress code is just one aspect of creating a positive and productive learning environment, and it should be implemented in conjunction with other measures such as teacher training and parental involvement.

TikTok, and Edtech startup, Edkasa, have announced a scholarship program that will reward online study grants to 18,000 deserving students from across Pakistan.

The #ExamReady campaign was designed to help millions of Pakistani students and had over 500 educational videos online, covering Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Mathematics, including study tips and exam hacks.

In September, TikTok partnered with Edkasa and LUMS for a first-of-its-kind year-long collaboration to launch a digital learning program to facilitate online education and distance learning for high school students.

Teaming up with one of Pakistan’s premier institutions, LUMS, the duo will further cement the partnership by awarding students with two months of Edkasa’s free studying material and access to an exam pack for whichever grade/board/exam they opt for.

350,000 Tonnes of Wheat Imported from Russia and Other Countries Arrive in Karachi

The recent arrival of 350,000 tonnes of wheat in Karachi, Pakistan, imported from Russia and other countries, is an important development in the country’s ongoing efforts to stabilize its domestic food supply. Wheat is a staple food in Pakistan and plays a crucial role in the country’s agriculture sector. The large influx of wheat will likely have a positive impact on the market, helping to keep prices stable and ensuring that there is enough wheat available to meet the needs of the population.

One of the key reasons for importing such a large quantity of wheat is the current shortfall in domestic production. Pakistan has been facing a decline in its wheat production in recent years due to various factors such as a lack of investment in the agricultural sector, water scarcity, and an increasing population.

The importation of wheat from Russia, which is one of the largest wheat-producing countries in the world, is also a significant development in terms of international trade relations between the two countries. Russia is a major wheat exporter, and Pakistan is one of the world’s largest wheat-importing countries, so this trade has the potential to be mutually beneficial for both countries.

This importation of wheat would also boost the economy of Pakistan. As the country’s agriculture sector is a major source of income and employment, the influx of wheat is expected to have a positive impact on the overall economy. This includes boosting the livelihoods of farmers and other stakeholders in the agricultural sector, as well as stimulating economic activity in related industries such as transportation and storage.

Furthermore, this importation can also be seen as a measure of food security for the country. By diversifying its sources of food imports, Pakistan is better able to ensure that its people have a stable and reliable supply of this essential staple food.

However, it also important to mention that a large importation of wheat can also have negative impacts. One of them could be on the local farmers, whose market could be affected by cheaper prices due to the influx of wheat. Additionally, too much importation of wheat can also cause food self-sufficiency to decrease and make the country more dependent on other countries for food.

In conclusion, the recent arrival of 350,000 tonnes of wheat in Karachi, imported from Russia and other countries, is an important development for Pakistan’s food security and economy. While the influx of wheat will likely have a positive impact on the market, it also brings up important considerations such as food self-sufficiency and the well-being of local farmers.

UN Demands Increased Aid for Flood-Damaged Pakistan.

The United Nations has made a strong appeal for increased aid to help rebuild and support flood-damaged Pakistan. The country has been hit hard by devastating floods in recent years, with extensive damage to infrastructure, homes, and crops. The floods have also had a major impact on the economy, with many people losing their livelihoods and being forced to rely on aid to survive.

The UN has called on the international community to provide “massive” aid to help Pakistan recover from the floods and rebuild for the future. This includes financial assistance, as well as resources such as food, clean water, and medical supplies. It is also crucial that long-term support is provided to help communities and individuals get back on their feet and rebuild their lives.

The floods in Pakistan have had a particularly severe impact on vulnerable communities, including women and children. Many have been left without access to basic necessities such as shelter, food, and clean water, and are at risk of disease and malnutrition. The UN has stressed the importance of providing targeted aid to these groups, in order to ensure that they are able to recover and thrive in the aftermath of the floods.

In addition to providing immediate aid, the UN has also called for efforts to be made to address the root causes of the floods and prevent future disasters. This includes investing in infrastructure and early warning systems, as well as promoting sustainable land use practices that can help to reduce the risk of flooding.

The UN’s call for increased aid to flood-damaged Pakistan highlights the need for a coordinated and comprehensive response to this crisis. By working together, the international community can help to provide much-needed support to those affected by the floods, and lay the foundations for a stronger and more resilient Pakistan in the future. So, it is our moral duty to extend a helping hand to our brothers and sisters in Pakistan and make this world a better place to live.

Pakistan’s economic crisis forces malls and markets to close early

Pakistan has been facing an economic crisis in recent years, which has led to a number of malls and markets closing early or shutting down completely. This has had a major impact on the country’s economy and has led to widespread unemployment and financial hardship for many people.

One of the main causes of the crisis has been the country’s high level of debt, which has made it difficult for the government to borrow money and invest in infrastructure and other development projects. The country’s currency, the Pakistani rupee, has also suffered from significant devaluation in recent years, which has made it more difficult for businesses to import goods and materials.

The economic crisis has also been exacerbated by a number of other factors, including a lack of foreign investment, corruption, and a poor business environment. These issues have made it difficult for businesses to thrive and have contributed to the closure of many malls and markets.

The impact of the economic crisis on malls and markets has been particularly severe, as these businesses rely on a steady stream of customers to survive. Many malls and markets have been forced to close early or shut down completely due to a lack of foot traffic and sales, which has had a knock-on effect on other businesses in the area.

The closure of malls and markets has had a major impact on the economy as a whole, as these businesses are major contributors to the country’s GDP and provide employment for a large number of people. The economic crisis has also led to a decline in the overall standard of living in Pakistan, as people struggle to afford basic necessities and make ends meet.

In conclusion, Pakistan’s economic crisis has had a major impact on the country’s malls and markets, leading to a number of closures and contributing to the country’s overall economic struggles. It is important for the government and other stakeholders to work together to address the root causes of the crisis and implement measures to support businesses and stimulate economic growth.

Who is the great Leader of Pakistan 2023?

Pakistan has a long and complex history, with a rich cultural heritage and a diverse political landscape. Over the years, the country has been led by a variety of leaders, each of whom has left their own mark on the nation’s development.

As we look towards 2023, the question on many people’s minds is: who will be the great leader of Pakistan? It is a question that is difficult to answer with certainty, as political dynamics and public sentiment can change quickly. However, there are a few key figures who are widely considered to be contenders for the role of leader in the coming years.

One such figure is Imran Khan, the current Prime Minister of Pakistan. Khan rose to prominence as a cricketer, winning the Cricket World Cup for Pakistan in 1992. He later turned to politics, founding the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party in 1996. Khan has been a vocal critic of corruption and injustice in Pakistan, and his party has gained significant support in recent years. Khan has also been praised for his efforts to improve relations with other countries and to combat terrorism within Pakistan.

Another potential leader of Pakistan is Shahbaz Sharif, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) party. Sharif has a long history in Pakistani politics, having served as Chief Minister of Punjab province and as Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly. Sharif is known for his focus on economic development and infrastructure projects, and he has a strong base of support in the country.

There are also a number of other politicians and leaders who are considered to be potential contenders for the role of the great leader of Pakistan in 2023. These include Asif Ali Zardari, the co-chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP); Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the chairman of the PPP; and Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the head of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) party.

Ultimately, it is impossible to say with certainty who the great leader of Pakistan will be in 2023. However, it is clear that the country will be led by someone with a strong vision for its future and the ability to bring about positive change. Whether that leader will be Imran Khan, Shahbaz Sharif, or someone else remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: the future of Pakistan is bright, and its people are ready to embrace a new era of growth and prosperity.

Our celebrities gave us the best life lessons in 2022

We learned a lot in 2022, and our stars have taught us, even more, this year. We learned the value of giving, the importance of being quiet, and a slew of other lessons we will carry with us into the new year. Here are some of the lessons we learned this year due to our stars.

  • Iqra Aziz believes that actions speak louder than words.

Iqra Aziz backed out of a project with Feroz Khan, an actor accused of abuse and infidelity by his ex-wife and currently fighting for custody of their children in court. As celebrities showed their support for Syeda Aliza, Aziz went one step further by withdrawing from a project with Khan to show his support for domestic abuse survivors. Her decision taught us that breaking up with friends is okay if necessary to support what you believe in. She taught us that you don’t have to be silent just because you work with someone and that action is required.

  • Resham taught us that admitting mistakes is the best way to move forward.

This year, Resham unintentionally sparked a debate about whether trash belongs in rivers or in the bin. Her act of dumping food and plastic containers in a river was widely condemned. People frequently have difficulty admitting and repenting for their mistakes in showbiz. In this case, Resham apologized not once but every time she had the opportunity to express her regret for the way she dumped the trash. This year, she taught us to forgive and apologize for our mistakes.

  • Hadiqa Kiani taught us to help the one in need.

Many people stepped forward to assist the 33 million Pakistanis affected by the floods this year. Hadiqa Kiani was one of many people who organized funds and arranged everything from food and medicine to comfortable clothing, and she also promised to rebuild villages. She taught us that there’s nothing better than helping people in need and doing good for others when they need you the most. She taught us that you don’t have to be a high-ranking official to assist a village in need. You could be an ordinary person who uses their platform for the best intentions.

  • Hira Mani taught us to never discuss sensitive issues unless we have all the facts.

Hira Mani taught us not to speak without having all of the facts in order and not to double down on immaturity and make excuses to cover it up. She taught us that we should know the facts before ranting about any hot topic on the internet.

  • Maria B taught us to stop making everything about ourselves

Fashion designer Maria B. was one of those who taught us to keep quiet. Not only because her misinformed opinions were widely disseminated on the internet but also because she repeatedly inserted herself into social issues that were neither about her nor involved her. Maria B taught us to be silent and not to participate in a conversation that had nothing to do with us unless we amplified the voices of those involved.

  • Fahad Mustafa taught us to not mess with the BTS ARMY

He taught us that even if you don’t like BTS or have never heard their music, you should keep your thoughts to yourself because their fans will not tolerate any disrespect.

Their stories had one thing in common: they were not treated with respect, which was the lesson we learned. Be kind and respectful, and don’t make fun of anyone!

News that remained the talk of the town in 2022

From the very beginning, the year 2022 was as action-packed as it could get. It persistently started churning out those utterly significant incidents that sent waves across Pakistan’s political, social, and economic range and persisted media-worthy for a long time.

Russia attacked Ukraine.

The Russian invasion of Ukraine remained the highlight throughout 2022, and the matter hasn’t get solved yet. Russian forces invaded the bordering country by air, land, and sea on February 24, labeled as a significant attack by one state against another in Europe during World War II.

Murree Hills became the graveyard of tourists.

This year caught us with the spine-chilling news that at least 23 tourists, frequently families, unfortunately, froze to death after being held in their cars for hours because of snowstorms and no earnest rescue exertions in Murree Hills on January 7.

They were reported to have died since help couldn’t reach them in time. It gave the impression that nobody knew they were trapped underneath many feet of impenetrable snow. Media, witnesses, and survivors were held responsible for the administration’s hidden motives and the voracity of the local business leaders in the disaster.

Noor Mukadam case

The tragic murder of 27-year-old Noor Mukadam by Zahir Jaffer in Islamabad’s upscale neighborhood on July 20, 2021, sent reactions across the country. The incident flashed nationwide scandal and called for justice for Noor. which resulted in a positive trial and the eventual conviction of her murderer. The prosecution of the high-profile case sustained for four months and eight days. After which the court finally stretched a decision on February 24.

It was a sigh of respite for millions of Pakistanis who had their eyes glued on their TV screens to see Jaffer and his enablers convicted. Despite all warning measures, the long march members reached the capital and crossed the threshold of the Red Zone. They were left behind by Imran Khan, who called off the long march on May 26, bestowing the government a six-day countdown to dissolve the assemblies and declare an election.

Imran Khan’s dismissal as PM

First time in the history of Pakistan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan was expelled as the prime minister over a no-confidence motion on April 10. A man set a Guinness world record by hanging 710 Ornaments on his beard

This year, it’s not just Santa’s magical white beard spreading holiday cheer. A man from the United States has set a Guinness World Record for the most ornaments hung on a beard and transformed his beard into a Christmas tree. According to Guinness World Records, Joel attached 710 wearable multi-colored holiday ornaments to his beard on December 2, 2022, breaking the record for the most beard baubles in a beard.

For the first time in 2019, the serial record-breaker sported a well-ornamented beard.  “Beardaments” are brightly colored clip-on facial hair accessories that first appeared on “Shark Tank” and quickly became a tacky holiday fashion trend. Strasser was competing against himself this year, having set the record in 2019 with 302 baubles, then breaking it in 2020 with 542 baubles and again in 2021 with 686 baubles. “As a result of breaking records for so many years, my technique has evolved and become more specialized,” Strasser told Guinness World Records.

“At first, I slid them in randomly, which is why those first beard baubles didn’t fit very well. When I take my time and concentrate on the individual strands of beard hair, I can fit many more in there, and the process is time-consuming and painful, as 5 pounds of ornaments tug on the beard. Strasser spent two and a half hours putting the baubles on his beard and another hour taking them off. The baubles used to weigh around 5 pounds. Strasser must remove each ornament individually because each has a tiny alligator clip. Shaking them out would probably rip my beard and face off,” he explained.

When listening to Christmas music, especially the Twisted Christmas album, the record-holder’s beard is more receptive to baubles.

As per the Guinness World Records website, “December of 2019 was the first time I wore an ornament in my beard and the first time I broke the record,” Joel said. “I have broken my own record every Christmas since then as my beard bauble technique has improved.”
