Pakistan’s national hockey team is gearing up to participate in the highly anticipated Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup 2023, set to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The tournament will take place at the National Hockey Stadium Bukit Jalil from December 5 to 16.
A total of 16 teams from around the world will compete for the prestigious championship title. Pakistan has been placed in Group D alongside strong teams from the Netherlands, Belgium, and New Zealand. Their campaign will kick off on December 6, facing off against the Netherlands.
The International Hockey Federation announced the groups and schedule for the tournament during a ceremony held at the Mercure Living Hotel in Putrajaya. The groups were formed based on the inaugural FIH Junior World Rankings.
Pakistan’s national hockey team’s schedule for the tournament is as follows:
- December 6: Pakistan vs Netherlands at 6:00 AM, National Hockey Stadium Bukit Jalil
- December 7: Pakistan vs New Zealand at 8:00 AM, National Hockey Stadium Bukit Jalil
- December 9: Pakistan vs Belgium at 5:00 PM, National Hockey Stadium Bukit Jalil
