Lahore – The Punjab government has officially launched the CM Punjab Laptop Scheme 2025, aiming to distribute high-performance Core i7 laptops to outstanding students. The initiative is designed to enhance digital learning and bridge the technological divide in Pakistan’s education system.

Who is Eligible?

The scheme targets students enrolled in public sector universities, colleges, and technical institutes across Punjab. The eligibility criteria include:

  • Academic Excellence: Students must have a minimum GPA or percentage set by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
  • Enrollment in Government Institutions: Only students from registered public sector institutions can apply.
  • Merit-Based Selection: Laptops will be awarded based on academic records rather than financial need.

Registration Process

Unlike previous schemes, there will be no online application process for students. Instead, the educational institutions will compile and submit data of eligible students to the Punjab HEC. The final list of recipients will be published on an official platform.

When Will Laptops Be Distributed?

The laptop distribution is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2025. Selected students will receive notifications from their institutions with details on how and where to collect their laptops.

This scheme is a crucial step towards promoting digital literacy and preparing students for an increasingly technology-driven world.
