For a more casual look, tops of these patterns were worn with jeans, however, printed shalwar qameez remained the most popular trend throughout the year. Women wore it at home, while going to work, offices, universities and even at get togethers.

Picture: Goal.com

The FIFA World Cup 20222 is going on in full swing in Qatar. No doubt the Qatari government has made incredible arrangements to accommodate players and their fans. Last night, a match was played between Argentina and Poland at Stadium 947. However, the stadium is itself getting a lot of attention, but why?

The China-build Stadium 947 is the topic of discussion these days due to its sustainable and green nature. The stadium is made with 974 shipping containers and is the first one in the history of FIFA to adopt modular construction. The stadium is easy to arrange, dismantle and transport to anywhere where a new set up is required.

The spectacular Stadium 947 is designed by Fenwick Iribarren Architects from Spain and is made by CIMC from China. CIMC is the world’s largest modular construction and container manufacturing company.

It is also note-worthy that some Pakistanis were also involved in the making of this amazing stadium. “I have work in this stadium. Supply some steel,” said Tasawor – a Pakistani worker. He also added, “I know. I have worked in this project.”

This gigantic modular construction has amazed a number of people across the world. It is constructed with pre engineered building units made in factories, which are then carried to the original sites to be assembled to form stadiums.

Twitter to Have Gold, Grey, And Blue Ticks

Picture: CNBC

Elon Musk has announced to launch Gold, Grey and Blue Verification Ticks on Twitter starting Friday next week. He called it a “painful, but necessary” step.

The Twitter CEO further said that verification of all accounts will now be done manually.

Musk said on Twitter, “Gold check for companies, grey check for governments, blue for individuals (celebrities or not). Painful, but necessary.”

He added, “Individuals can have a secondary tiny logo to show they belong to an organization if verified as such by that organization.”

He further said that more explanation about the verified accounts will be revealed next week. Previously, Twitter rolled out its $8 Blue Tick verification plan, but it backfired badly due to a number of increased fake accounts causing damages to the real businesses. The plan is expected to relaunch on the 29th of this month.

In the past, the blue tick was allocated to the genuine accounts of celebrities, politicians, journalists, and other public figures.

Elon Musk has also announced that an “amnesty” will be provided to the suspended Twitter accounts for hate speech, harassment, and misinformation.

He also conducted a poll on Twitter asking his 118 million followers about the reinstatements of accounts that are not against the laws and are not engaged in any egregious spam. 72% voters responded “YES” to this poll.

Reports suggest that all these are money-making strategies because Elon Musk wants to make money from his newly bought venture.

Pakistan May Face Currency Crisis, Warns Japan’s Nomura Holdings

Picture: Business Recorder

Japan’s biggest brokerage and investment bank, Nomura Holdings has warned that Pakistan may face currency crisis soon. According to the economists at Nomura, the seven countries that are at the highest risk of a currency crisis include Romania, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Pakistan, Turkey, the Czech Republic, and Hungary.

An economist from the holding company said, “This is the highest total score since July 1999 and not too far from the peak of 2,692 during the height of the Asian crisis.”

Nomura explains that based on the data, a score of 100 and above indicates that a country is likely to face currency crisis in the next 12 months.

Amongst the seven countries highlighted, Egypt has the lowest score of 165. Egypt’s currency has already devalued twice in 2022 and now it is requesting for an IMF bailout program.

Pakistani currency too has failed to uphold the previous gain in the value of rupee yesterday. It recently fell to 0.17%, standing at Rs. 223.81 against a dollar. This is the lowest in the last six weeks.

Pakistan has been struggling financially and economically since the start of this year. The rupee value was decreasing very fast initially, however, the recent government policies played a major role in controlling it. The situation still does not seem to be under control and the currency is not stable yet.

Learn natural ways to stimulate your hair thickness

Whether your hair has been thin since childhood or losing hair for a long time, it’s natural to want to make it grow thicker. After all, long and shiny hair is the best thing to wear.  Though no quick hacks will make your hair grow thicker right away, there are steps you can take that will make your hair healthier and fuller over time.

Putting Balanced Nutrition First

Keeping a healthy, well-balanced diet is one of the smartest ways you can do for your overall well-being. A good diet can also make your skin look healthy and help your hair and nails grow on their own.

Do some self-massage of the scalp

It may sound unbelievable, but scientific studies have shown that massaging the scalp can actually stimulate new hair growth.

Licensed dermatologist Akis Ntonos M.D. says that healthy hair can be generated by massaging the scalp, as this increases blood flow to the area.

Protect your hair from sun

The sun can be damaging to your hair and scalp. The sun’s rays can damage your skin, but new evidence reveals they might also harm your hair and scalp. So, you need to avoid sun rays directly hitting your scalp or head.

Reduce Your Stress Levels

The experience of stress is nothing new, and we have no doubt that you can relate. You might not have known this, but chronic, severe stress can also slow hair growth.

Stress, as explained by Dr. Bhanusali, “may cause long-standing hair loss” since it raises cortisol levels. Traumatic memories and other distressing circumstances have been related to a disorder called telogen effluvium.

Though it’s only a temporary problem, getting your hair back to its full, healthy state can take months or even years.

Be mindful while using hair styling tools

Styling with heat causes severe damage to hair. Dehydration brought on by excessive heat styling damages the molecular structure,” as stated by Van Clarke. When bonds weaken, hair thinning and loss of hair also occur. If your hair is naturally thin or thinning, you should limit the use of hot tools.

Internet blows up after Messi-Ronaldo poses over a Chessboard in a paid partnership ahead of World Cup 2022

After appearing in a photo shoot together, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo set the internet on fire.

For almost 15 years, these two football giants have set the standard for excellence and elevated the game to new heights.

One of the greatest rivalries in sports history, Messi and Ronaldo have combined for 12 Ballon d’Ors and have pushed each other to the pinnacle of their respective fields.

Fans were astonished to see an image of the two together on Saturday night, despite their relationship being one of mutual respect rather than friendship.

Photograph of Messi and Ronaldo playing chess on a Louis Vuitton suitcase was posted to Instagram by both players.

Both of them captioned the post: “Victory is a State of Mind. A long tradition of crafting trunks photographed by @annieleibovitz for @louisvuitton.”

Within 30 minutes after being posted, the image had amassed over 10 million likes between both postings, making it one of Instagram’s most famous images. The stunning photo and its potential historical significance left fans in awe.

Ronaldo sat next to Messi during the Champions League draw a few years ago and expressed his desire that one day the two would share a meal.

In his explosive interview with Piers Morgan on TalkTV, Ronaldo talked about his relationship and had nothing but good things to say about the 35-year-old.

He said: “He is an amazing player. As a person, we shared the stage for 16 years.  So, I have a great relationship with him. I’m not a friend of his in terms of, what I mean friend is the guy who was with you in your house, speaking on the phone, no, but it’s like a teammate.

“He’s a guy that I really respect the way he always speaks about me. What am I going to say about Messi? A great guy who does great things for football.”

Ronaldo also made a joke about how many jerseys would be sold if the two of them ever played on the same team.

With Pakistan’s runner-up finish at the T20 World Cup 2022, the PCB will receive $800,000 (PKR 17.75 Crore)

The winning team of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022, with the final held on November 13 in Melbourne, will receive a $1.6 million prize, as announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC). Pakistan and England faced off in the championship match. England triumphed, while Pakistan placed second.

Pakistan was almost able to win a second championship, but they realize they need additional batsmen to support No. 6, Shadab Khan. Even though they lost their first two games of the competition, the fact that they still managed to come this far is impressive. But Pakistan’s bowling attack makes them difficult to ignore. Though they only had 137 runs to defend against what could have been a formidable batting line-up, Pakistan’s pacers put up a valiant effort to push the 2022 T20 World Cup final to the very last over. They battled bravely for a low score, and you should never underestimate their bowling because of the variety of problems it causes for batters (pace, bounce, height, movement, etc.).

With a total prize pool of $5.6 million, the runner-up will get $800,000, and the losers of the semi-finals will each get $400,000. The 45-match tournament started on October 16 and was played in seven places in Australia. Each of the eight teams that were eliminated in the Super 12 stage will receive $70,000, and a victory in any of the 30 games in that round will be worth $40,000. This is the same payout structure as the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021. If a team won all 12 of its opening-round games, it will receive $40,000 ($480, 000 total). Every one of the four teams that were eliminated in the opening round will receive $40,000.

Who is involved in the Murder of Arshad Sharif? Rana Sanaullah disclosed

Khurram and his brother Waqar, Arshad Sharif’s hosts in Kenya, allegedly arranged his assassination with the assistance of the local police, claims Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah.

The federal minister described Sharif’s death as a “target execution” and asserted that “mistaken identity” was not the cause of it while speaking on the Geo News show “Geo Pakistan.” Sanaullah attempted to present a different picture while claiming that the Ahmad brothers assassinated Sharif alongside the Kenyan police. He claimed that “none of the brothers are even granting access to the data on their cell phone.”

“This is a collaborative conspiracy of Waqar, Khurram, and 5 Kenyan police personnel,” the federal minister declared. It’s significant to mention that Khurram was the driver who was there when Sharif was shot, yet he was uninjured and did not sustain any injuries from armed gunmen.

According to the interior minister, Waqar sponsored Sharif to go from Dubai to Kenya, where he was lodging at Waqar’s apartment. “We have the record of everything,” the minister said, referring to Sharif’s visit to Waqar’s house and his overnight stay as a guest. He also explained that Waqar is not identified in the case since the committee has not yet arrived on the scene to inquire into these aspects.

He went on to add that those who shot the journalist knew exactly who they were blasting away. He claimed that they were aware of Sharif’s seating position. “We have proof that those who drove Sharif to flee the country did so. While some claim Sharif departed because of the conditions in the country, others claim that they called him and asked him to go. But Arshad Sharif didn’t want to go abroad,” he said.

Telenor Pakistan is Winding Up Business in Pakistan

Photo: Dawn

There were rumors circulating about Telenor winding up its business in Pakistan, however, seems like these are not just the rumors. Lately, Telenor is actually looking for a buyer who can buy their $1 billion worth of business, Bloomberg has reported earlier this week.

According to the sources by Bloomberg, The Norwegian telecom service provider is set to invite bidders, in November, in collaboration with the Citigroup.

While Telenor Pakistan has been looking for a potential buyer for a while now, it seems like finding a viable deal that pleases the stakeholders is a bit challenging for the tech giant.

Initially, it was reported that PTCL was in talks with Telenor Pakistan, however, we are still waiting for the outcome of those talks. Bloomberg has also reported that serious development took place and now the contract is in its final stages.

Lately, a senior official from the Telenor Group has confirmed that they are looking forward to realigning their Asian operations.

Due to the recent global financial crunch and the worsen economic situation in Pakistan, many businesses find it difficult to survive. Therefore, they are either shutting down permanently or selling off their operations to someone else.

We are eagerly waiting for both the parties to affirm the news.

World Population to Hit 8 billion in November

The population of the world is increasing day by day. It is anticipated that by mid-November, this number is likely to hit Eight Billion. It is also estimated that by 2023 India will become the most populated country globally, leaving behind China, as reported by the World Population Prospectus 2022.

The United States Secretary General Antonio Guterres says, “This year’s World Population Day falls during a milestone year, when we anticipate the birth of the Earth’s eight billionth inhabitant. This is an occasion to celebrate our diversity, recognize our common humanity, and marvel at advancements in health that have extended lifespans and dramatically reduced maternal and child mortality rates.” He added, “At the same time, it is a reminder of our shared responsibility to care for our planet and a moment to reflect on where we still fall short of our commitments to one another.”

However, the percentage of increase in the global population has significantly dropped since 1950 and in 2020, it fell below 1%.

Considering the given stats by the United Nations, it is easily predictable that by 2030, the global population will hit 8.5 billion and by 2050, it would be nearly 9.7 billion.

Similarly, if the trend continues, it is expected that the population of the world will become around 10.4 billion by 2080 and it will be the same till 2100.
