Pakistan surged to a 10-wicket victory over Zimbabwe in the 2nd T20I at Bulawayo to seal the series deal with a game to go. Chasing a paltry target of 58, Pakistan’s openers made light work of the chase to complete the win in just 5.3 overs with 87 balls to spare.

The star of the match was undoubtedly Sufiyan Muqeem, whose sensational spell of 5 for 3 dismantled Zimbabwe’s batting lineup and earned him the Player of the Match award.

Zimbabwe elected to bat first but never found their footing. Despite a promising start from Brian Bennett (21 off 14) and Tadiwanashe Marumani (16 off 14), the rest of the batting order crumbled against Pakistan’s disciplined bowling.

Sufiyan Muqeem’s flight and guile proved a bit too much for the hosts. He removed key batters like Ryan Burl and Clive Madande in quick succession, ending with remarkable figures of 2.4-0-3-5. Abbas Afridi and Agha Salman chipped in with two wickets each as Zimbabwe folded for 57 in 12.4 overs.
Openers Seal the Deal

In response, the opening duo for Pakistan, Saim Ayub, and Omair Yousuf, made the chase appear really effortless. While Ayub battered a quick unbeaten 36 off 18 balls, peppered with six boundaries and a six, Yousuf added 22 off 15 as their aggressive intent led them to get over the line pretty quickly, keeping their spirit high ahead of the final game.
Series Decider

This victory gives Pakistan a 2-0 lead in the three-match series, underlining their dominance in all departments. Zimbabwe, meanwhile, will look to regroup and salvage pride in the final game.
