PCB to increase players' salary

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to postpone the issuance of central contracts for cricket players due to the Muharram holidays. After concluding the committee meeting with relevant departments regarding central contracts, the PCB will finalize the contract matters in the upcoming week.

The chairman of the Cricket Committee will present a briefing on the central contracts issue to the Management Committee of the PCB for approval. Once the chairman gives the green light, the players will be awarded new contracts. It’s worth noting that in June, the PCB had extended the duration of central contracts by one month upon their expiry.

Reports from media sources indicate that national cricketers can expect a significant increase of 25-35% in their monthly salaries and match fees under the new contracts.
