Two years have passed since the COVID-19 pandemic and seems like the things are now getting back to normal. Now people have again started dressing up, going out and celebrating different occasions. The fashion trends for 2022 were full of colors, pastel patterns, sequins, and amazing cuts. From the traditional qameez shalwar to ghararas, we saw it all this year.

The color choices for 2022 were innumerous. In Spring, we mostly saw hues like maroon, mustard, yellow, sunset orange, Kelly green and lime green. There were also dresses made with a combination of light and dark colors with a dash of neutral hues.

2022 was clearly a year of ghararas. Whether it was a bride or a guest at a wedding, both preferred ghararas over shararas with medium length shirt or an angrakha frock. The shirts for ghararas were mostly adorned with zardozi and dabka work while flaunting exceptional cuts.

Floral Patterns

For summer and spring, ladies in Pakistan opted for vibrant colors and pastel prints. For a more casual look, tops of these patterns were worn with jeans, however, printed shalwar qameez remained the most popular trend throughout the year. Women wore it at home, while going to work, offices, universities and even at get togethers.

Casual Suits with Fancy Dupatta

Heavy dupattas have the power to make any ordinary suit extraordinary. In 2022, fancy dupattas were the most favorite trend amongst women with a myriad of choices available in the markets. They were mostly embroidered or made on jacquard. Chickenkari, too, was used along with tissue, organza and net.
