NADRA PakID 5.8.0 Adds Family Digital IDs and Certificate Verification
NADRA’s PakID 5.8.0 update introduces family digital IDs, QR verification for selected identity certificates and biometric verification for influenza and meningitis vaccinations.
The three additions appear in the official app’s release notes, where NADRA is listed as the developer.
What has changed?
The update adds three services:

According to ARY News’s coverage of NADRA’s announcement, the family feature covers spouses and eligible children, allowing users to obtain, store and share their digital IDs.
For document verification, users can use the app’s QR scanning option to check supported certificates and view the verified information.
How to check the update
Open your phone’s official app store, find Pak Identity and check whether an update is available. Confirm that the developer is the National Database and Registration Authority before installing.
After updating, follow the instructions for the service you need. Avoid assuming that a digital document will be accepted for every purpose; check the receiving organisation’s requirements.
